Am I Just Too Old?
Alan’s boys think that this video is hilarious. I just find it bizarre? Am I that out of touch?

RIP Austin
Before we left to live in Lanzarote, I had the pleasure of getting to know a lovely man called Alex. He now lives back in his native USA… but we manage to keep in sporadic touch via MySpace.
He’s one of those truly gifted creative people… and writes the most amazing blogs. Really should tell him to do it on his own site, instead of just MySpace… but hey. Read the rest of this entry »

Darth Vader made me cry!
This evening I was off on a mission looking for sad stories about puppies and the such (I’m a bit odd like that… and find it cathartic)… when I came across this blog from a chap reminiscing about his childhood.
He was a huge Star Wars fan… and had the opportunity to met Darth Vader. This blog was extremely well written, and as a child from the early 70′s, I was very aware of the hype and excitement that surrounded the movies – and yes the merchandise too. I wanted to be Princess Leia… and would try desperately in vain to style my hair to look just like hers! Which of course, it never did.

Just because it’s funny!
This song was hilarious… is hilarious… and will remain hilarious.
When it came out, I bought the single, the album, the video. Oh dear oh dear oh dear! Memories of office parties, and marching my old MD round by his tie to his song. Weeeeellll… I was only young!

Julia Fordham – A Few Too Many
One of my favourite songs from the end of the 80′s. Very under-rated singer.
